Famous Swords and Skilled Artisans of Reiwa

Hayashibara Museum of Art
Finished
This exhibition, which evolved from the "Heisei no Meito Meikou (Master Swordsmiths and Master Craftsmen) Exhibition" held in 2028 with the cooperation of various sword organizations, invites entries from all over Japan for not only swords but also recent works in all eight categories essential to sword making: sword engraving, metal carving, polishing, white sheath, sword armoring (preparation, groundwork, sheath coating), handle front, and silver. The exhibition will feature master swordsmiths who will lead the swordsmithing world of the new era and will present swords that will be handed down to the future. The exhibition will be held at the Bizen Osafune Sword Museum and two other venues during the same period.
