Fendi, the luxury brand representing Rome, Italy, paid homage to Italian craftsmanship, which is the brand's DNA, by holding an exhibition "Hand in Hand - A Celebration of Excellence in Craftsmanship" for three months from October 2021 at the Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana, a monumental building in Rome, where the brand is based. This one-of-a-kind exhibition, in which artisans from all over Italy bring their traditional skills and craftsmanship to celebrate their collaboration, will be held in Omotesando, Tokyo, on April 20, 2023, as the second exhibition to be held in the world after Rome.
The focus is on the brand's iconic bag, the Baguette, designed by Silvia Venturini Fendi, artistic director of accessories and menswear, in 1997 as an icon of the Maison and a canvas that reflects at a glance its constant change.
This one-of-a-kind exhibition is a partnership with the traditional skills of artisans from all over Italy, a tribute to the design and art world, and a new page in the history and savoir-faire of a brand that is constantly renewing itself.
