Artists

Fuyuki Yamakawa
Fuyuki Yamakawa uses his own "voice" and "body" as a platform to develop a trans-disciplinary performance that crosses the boundaries between music, fine arts, and performing arts. He has collaborated with artists in various fields and has been invited by them from all over the world.

In this exhibition, he will exhibit eight tableaus that he presented at Art Space Mito this year from the viewpoint of "Sceamology," in addition to new works. He treats canvas not as a support but as a "resonant body," and he creates his works by echoing human cries in social and political contexts on a canvas covered with marble particles, and then solidifying the patterns that emerge from the vibrations with resin. The "Frozen Screams" series, Yamakawa's first paintings, will be on view at the exhibition.
