In the midst of the world art scene that has been shaken by the search for new values since the end of World War II, Japanese artists have started their own activities in search of their own interpretations regarding the nature of contemporary art. There were new perspectives emerging such as Mono-ha, Gutai, Kyushitsukai, Hi-Red Center as well as numerous independent artists who were at the origin of the anti-art and dadaist currents. The exhibition will display and sell more than 30 works from these early days of contemporary art.
