Tokyo University of the Arts will hold Geisai 2024 from Friday, September 6th, to Sunday, September 8th, at the Ueno Campus. Geisai, the university's festival, is organized annually by the students, and led by the executive committee, and this year marks the 77th edition.
The theme for this year’s Geisai is "En." Though just two hiragana characters, it holds various meanings: circle, celebration, performance, flame, distance... This theme was chosen with the hope that by continually reinterpreting the significance of things we take for granted, this word will serve as a tool in any situation, helping us to preserve daily life with friends and the long-standing tradition of Geisai. The main visual for the event was also solicited from students based on the theme "En."
