Since its opening in 1947, the Homma Museum of Art's collection has been formed by donations from individuals and artists who have held solo exhibitions, covering a wide range of genres.

Many of the works donated by individuals include oriental ceramics, ukiyo-e prints, Japanese-style paintings, and Western-style paintings, all of which were collected from unique perspectives.

The museum's collection has also been enriched by the donation of valuable work by artists such as Shiko Munakata, Kazumasa Nakagawa, Hoji Ito, and Churyo Nakabayashi, many of whom have held solo exhibitions at the museum.

This exhibition commemorates the museum's 75th anniversary by presenting contemporary works in calligraphy, painting, prints, crafts, and sculpture, including work donated by artists who have contributed to the museum's exhibition activities and works from private collections that have rarely been exhibited.
