Nangaku Fujisawa, Takeo Fujisawa
Fujisawa Nangaku (1842-1920) was a scholar of Sinology from Higashikagawa City active from the end of the Edo period to the Meiji period. His grandson, Takeo Fujisawa (1904-1988), was a famous novelist active in the literary circles of the Kansai region.

The two spent Takeo's childhood together in Osaka, deepening their bond as grandfather and grandson.

This exhibition features calligraphy by Nangaku and Takeo from the collection and the Shioe Historical Museum and examines how Nangaku influenced Takeo's way of life through the documents left by Takeo.
