GROUND was formed in 2014 by painters Takanobu Kobayashi, Nobuhiko Nukata, Naofumi Maruyama, Nobuyuki Takahashi, and Masanori Inokari. Through "exhibition" and "dialogue," they have been working to create a space where both the painter and the viewer can think about issues and questions surrounding painting.
