Hagi Grand Prize Exhibition VI

Hagi Uragami Museum
Finished
This is the sixth exhibition of the "Ceramic Art in its Present Form: Hagi Grand Prize Exhibition” (held every three years since 2007). This year’s exhibition succeeds the results of the "Ceramic Art Exhibition" held at the 21st National Cultural Festival Yamaguchi 2006, receiving the largest number of entries to date.

This is a cultural promotion project aimed at improving the quality of expression in the field of ceramics, a representative cultural resource of Yamaguchi Prefecture, which boasts 400 years of history and tradition of Hagi-yaki pottery. It is an open call for entries for all ceramic artists, both domestic and international. At the same time, it provides learning opportunities for many residents of Yamaguchi Prefecture to experience and become familiar with the art of ceramics, thereby fostering a richer sensitivity and creativity.
