This is an exhibition featuring two lacquerware artists. The strength derived from the skin that covers the body is replaced by the luster of lacquer.
Haruka Sotome focuses on the "lips," which govern expressions and communication, representing our bodies living day by day. Riina Kurosawa uses lacquer to express the dignity and essence of "dolls" created with the premise of being touched by others and reflecting the heart. This is the first introduction of these two artists at the Sanso.
