Hikosaka Woodblock Printing Studio
Hikosaka Woodblock Studio was founded in 2010 by woodblock artist Hikosaka Yuki (born 1985 in Aichi Prefecture) and creative director Morito Izumi (born 1987 in Tokyo). Celebrating its 15th anniversary, this exhibition will be the studio's first solo exhibition at a museum and will comprehensively introduce the work of the studio to date, including woodblock prints of bread that are synonymous with the studio, original works depicting vegetables and cakes, original illustrations for picture books, and bookbinding work, as well as illustrations and design work for product packaging. We hope that this will be an opportunity to experience the appeal of contemporary woodblock prints and their potential.
