MON is pleased to present “10 Years of Plotter Drawing,” a solo exhibition by designer and graphic researcher Hiromasa Fukaji. This exhibition marks a milestone in Fukaji's decade-long exploration of “Plotter Drawing”—a technique that uses plotters to create accidental expressions born between the digital and reality. The exhibition traces his trajectory through a mix of new and older works.

The latest “OnWood” series features works where programmed wood grain graphics are drawn onto gradation-dyed cypress boards. The overlap of naturally formed wood grain and artificially created grain blurs the boundary between digital and real, creating a landscape where organic and artificial resonate. Furthermore, this exhibition brings together works from the “SPUR” series, the “Poly & Arc” series, and others created using various drawing tools like paintbrushes, pencils, and ballpoint pens. Visitors can experience the breadth and depth of plotter drawing.
