Hiroshi Manabe: Looking at Past/Present/Future

The Museum of Art, Ehime
Finished

Artists

Hiroshi Manabe
Manabe Hiroshi, originally from Ehime, has been active in a variety of fields through his illustrations. He believes that the future should be "created" rather than "imagined," and he expresses it while keeping a firm eye on the past and present. In conjunction with the Osaka-Kansai Expo, we will be introducing a collection that gives a sense of Manabe's thoughts and gaze on the future, including works from the 1970 Osaka Expo and "Japan in 2001" (1969).

In addition, to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Ehime/Matsuyama Museum Street Liaison Council in October, the Seki Museum and Miurato Village will also be holding a collaborative project featuring Manabe's works at the museum during this period.
