Human Patterns in Old Ceramics

Toguri Museum of Art
Finished
This exhibition highlights human motifs in the colorful Imari ware from the Edo period and Ming dynasty Jingdezhen porcelain. It explores the figures depicted, their backgrounds, and the audiences who received them. By examining both the "human patterns" and "human relationships" of the time, the stories behind these old ceramics can be uncovered. The showcase includes approximately 70 pieces from the collection, featuring Imari ware and Jingdezhen porcelain.
