We live in a world where we are exposed to a variety of information from all over the world. While this information can help us make the decisions we make each day, information overload can lead us astray and sometimes in unwanted directions. It is as if we are walking through the Information Jungle where the path is overgrown with plants and trees, and it’s difficult to tell where we are going.
A compass is a tool that helps you determine what direction you are facing, what your situation is, and gives you clues as to the path you should take. We need to read our own “compass” in this world to get through ‘the Information Jungle.’
In this exhibition “Mixed Realities,” you will encounter various mixed reality works expressed by the artists in their own ways.

This work overlaps an imaginary world created using familiar objects with the real world.
This work considers the time and space we share, in a space where digital technology and physical phenomena overlap.
This is a work in which a table game is played in a realistic setting with video opponents.
This work allows viewers to experience the uncertainty of information from the situation in front of them and the images being broadcast.
This work allows visitors to experience the process of blending a virtual body with a real body in a hybrid exhibition space.
This work makes us aware of the difference between recorded images and images recalled from the memories of those who saw them.
The experience of not only “looking” at works of art, but also participating in and being actively involved with them based on the life experience and sensations that you have cultivated thus far, can help one find their own path to discovering meaning.

In this mixed reality world, where information space and physical space can be superimposed onto each other, we will attempt to develop the ability to recognize the complex nature of information, how to perceive it, and how to judge it, which is essential in modern society.
Now, step into ‘the Information Jungle’ and find your new compass.
