Having debuted with vibrant and colorful abstract works using markers, Ikumi Ishii garnered immediate attention. To further expand and elevate his potential as an artist, Ishii has been exploring various drawing materials and techniques, constantly challenging new endeavors and seeking new expressions. Where this relentless spirit of exploration will lead is perhaps akin to an eternal journey without answers.
This exhibition will showcase works where Ishii revisits his original style and attempts a new challenge towards a pop-oriented approach, along with his recent popular semi-three-dimensional works.
