Wish Less is thrilled to announce "Insanity We Trust," a solo exhibition by Ged Wells of insane. Ged was born on the Isle of Wight and is now based in London, He has been channeling his art within skateboard culture via his skateboard clothing brand ‘insane’ since 1984.
His bold graphic works, laced with surreal narrative and anthropomorphic illusion, became a prominent aspect of an emerging streetwear market in the early 90s.
This exhibition revisits some of these iconic early works, stimulated with layers of textural experimentation and reincarnations of familiar friends set free within kaleidoscopic parallel worlds.
In this exhibition, we are showing Ged’s original artwork, silkscreen posters, and a limited number of insane original T-shirts produced especially for the show. Ged will be in Tokyo for the opening reception of the exhibition.
