Inspiring Perspectives on Tea Through the Senses

Art Space Fukujuen
Until Feb 8

Artists

Sayaka Toda, Sun Homma, Yoshimi Ozaki, Taiga Sasaki
This group exhibition brings together Sayaka Toda, who held the inaugural show at our art space, and four artists she has invited to join her in this new presentation. Centered around Toda, the four artists engage with the world of tea through all five senses—reviving new sensibilities and poetic reflections within this timeless cultural practice. Extending beyond the visual, the exhibition evokes texture and temperature, aroma, spatial atmosphere, and sound. Through dialogues with diverse materials—wood, stone, ceramics, glass, and resin—their expressions act upon the body, awakening memory and emotion, and guiding each viewer toward their own inner image of tea in its many layers and forms. We invite you to experience the expanding realm of sensation born from the intersection of tea’s tradition and contemporary expression.
