This exhibition focuses on the “Shunro” and “Sori” periods of Hokusai, with works from the “Nagata Collection,” gifted to Shimane Prefecture by Hokusai researcher Nagata Seiji (1951‒2018). Through 280 works, the exhibition sheds light on lesser-known aspects of Hokusai's life and artistic development, providing a unique opportunity to explore this valuable cultural heritage.
