BS Fuji Co., Ltd. and Kashima Arts Co., Ltd. are proud to co-host Volume 17 of the Japanese Art Auction, Meguru, from February 10 (Sat) to February 18 (Sun), 2024. The preview will be held at Kashima Arts (Kyobashi, Tokyo).
Japanese Art Auction Meguru is an auction that offers a variety of works from Japanese paintings to Western paintings, calligraphy, and crafts. Since its launch in 2019, it has grown as a platform specializing in Japanese art, introducing art works entrusted by consigners nationwide to art lovers.
This 17th volume features 476 lots with a number of outstanding works by renowned artists, Jakuchu Ito, Okyo Maruyama and Rosetsu Nagasawa, Kyosai Kawanabe, Taikan Yokoyama and Shoen Uemura, all of whom are a must-see. Also featured are the Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido, a representative work of Hiroshige Utagawa, a master of ukiyo-e painting, as well as modern prints that have developed with high artistic quality since the late Meiji Period, led by the publisher Shozaburo Watanabe.
