Japan is one of the countries with the longest life expectancy in the world. Although he was of an earlier generation, Seijiro Matsuoka (1894-1898), who lived to be 95 years old, did not fully develop his collection until he was in his mid-70s.

Mastuoka visited many group exhibitions, including the Nitten and Inten exhibitions, and carefully selected Japanese and Western-style paintings. Don’t miss the early work of young painters who later became great masters of their craft.
