Baroque Japan Limited (Headquarters: Meguro-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Hiroyuki Murai; hereafter referred to as "the Company") is pleased to announce the solo exhibition "Dopamine" by Jeron Braxton at the Lovus Gallery, located on the B1 floor of Tokyu Plaza Omotesando Harajuku, from Saturday, June 8, 2024.

Jeron Braxton is a self-taught animator and award-winning artist. Growing up as an avid gamer, his gaming experiences have greatly influenced his work and animation style, featuring homages to the nostalgic video game aesthetics of the 1990s and early 2000s. His works address contemporary issues such as Black culture, consumerism, mental health, and social justice, recognized for their unique and provocative visual style. In 2018, Braxton won the Short Film Animation Award at the Sundance Film Festival. Recently, he was named one of Variety Magazine's "10 Animators to Watch in 2023." Currently, Braxton is collaborating with American rapper Kid Cudi, directing his first feature-length animated film, "Slime."

This exhibition marks Braxton's first solo show in Japan. It will feature works depicting his iconic character, Oxycotton Tail, which symbolizes consumerism and the mental state of today's youth. The exhibition includes canvas paintings, video works, and 11 new collaborative silkscreen prints created for this show. A new animation produced for this exhibition will also be screened at The Shel'tter Tokyo. Experience Jeron Braxton's diverse artistic world in the heart of Harajuku.
