The present exhibition features, amongst work realized in a variety of media including painting, sculpture, the artist's book, and drawings, the culmination of Arima’s years-long experimentation with the media of photography. Culled from photographs taken from his daily life, the “photographs” have been printed in multiple exposures on canvas and subsequently painted. A scrambling of digital and analog, daily life, and the imagination, this new body of work stands as the most recent example of Arima’s ever-energetic pushing of aesthetic boundaries.
