Karakuri no Mori: Forest of Mechanisms

Seiko Seed Harajuku
Finished
Watches have served as our constant companions, keeping time in our daily lives. At this very moment, all kinds of watches and clocks owned by various people around the world are dutifully marking the hours, minutes, and seconds to provide that essential information that is indispensable for human life: time.

Seiko has continuously honed its proprietary technologies to pursue the fundamental function of watches: telling time. In the process, we have reaffirmed that there are added dimensions like beauty, ingenuity, and enjoyment, offering new charms that extend beyond their fundamental function of telling time.

This exhibition, titled Forest of Mechanisms, focuses on this idea that the “appeal of watches lies beyond their functionality.”
