Eitoeiko is pleased to announce a solo exhibition Landscape with Base III by Katsuko Ishigaki. Ishigaki was born in Ishigaki island, 1967. In 1972, after the year Okinawa was returned from the United States to Japan, she moved to Okinawa island with her family. Ishigaki was raised in and lives in Okinawa. The artist makes paintings of ordinary, everyday scenes. However, the U.S. military base intrudes into the scene. This exhibition is the third in a series of solo exhibitions that will continue in 2018 and 2019 to show our current location. Together with "Roppongi Crossing" currently being held at Mori Art Museum, we hope you will take this opportunity to visit the exhibition.
