Kazuhei Kimura
"Alice in Wonderland Syndrome," in which the size and distance of objects appear differently from reality, and various symptoms such as abnormal color perception and time perception occur. Ten years ago, Kimura, who learned the name of the syndrome, began to express it in his work around the same time he started photographic expression. Through the numerous experiments he has conducted, sometimes intersecting with the history of photography, he has attempted to imbue that sensation into prints. The title "Stone and Peach" verbalizes one of the images Kimura sees in his daily and sudden life, where monochrome and vivid, soft things mix. Photographs made based on experiences from childhood will be displayed at Purple.

Since it was first presented in Tokyo two years ago, this exhibition has been held annually as a series. While approaching a single theme differently each time, anchoring it in the form of an exhibition may be akin to Kimura jotting down fading symptoms as if adding statements with each repetition.
