Artists

Keigo Kamide
Keigo Kamide, the sixth generation of the Kamide family, who has been involved in the family's kiln work since his time at Tokyo University of the Arts, will be presenting new three-dimensional works as an individual artist. He takes on the direction of the kiln for Kutaniyaki Kiln Kamide Choemon Kiln as the sixth generation.

Kamide initially gained attention for works like the 'Kanban Series,' where he focused on the texture of porcelain, during his graduation project. Subsequently, he has been actively producing works that are rooted in Kutaniyaki and the history of Oriental porcelain.

The new series, 'B-P-F,' presented by Keigo Kamide in this exhibition, features three-dimensional pieces that appear as if the vessels are stacked. Through material selection and design, he expresses aspects of his personal experiences, his connection to the kiln, and the evolving emotions towards the current kiln.
