Keiichi Baba
"Ningenhakkutsu," a term coined by Keiichi Baba to express an artistic process, involves excavating human presence from the canvas rather than creating anew. Originating in 2007, this concept reflects exploration of creativity. The exhibition features 27 pieces, primarily from the mixed-media series (2018-2021), delving into the universal essence of humanity. Additionally, the cardboard series (2015-2019) is showcased, illustrating human vulnerability and empathy towards pain. Accompanying the artworks are reflective writings, offering a fresh lens on "ningenhakkutsu."
