With the support of the Yokohama Triennale Gallery Fu will hold Kenji Takahashi's "Unknown Space."

Takahashi is currently specializing in Nihonga (Japanese-style painting) at the Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School. Diverging from traditional Japanese painting, he reexamines the sensations he perceives in daily life with a cool perspective and transforms them into artwork.

This exhibition focuses on the sense of distance between people. When observing the everyday scenery where unknown individuals pass by each other objectively, one realizes that within those individuals previously thought to be completely unrelated, there exist emotions and thoughts similar to one's own. What is revealed when cutting out that space? The exhibition presents human relationships where distances of the heart are created within the suggestions of unknown spaces.
