Tokyo Institute of Photography
Finished

Artists

Kota Takahashi
Kota Takahashi's solo exhibition "80°05′" will showcase a series revolving around adventurers Nobu Shirase and Masatatsu Abe. Shirase retired at South Latitude 80°05′ in 1912 during an Antarctic exploration, while Abe pioneers a route to the South Pole over 100 years later. The exhibition coincides with the release of Takahashi's photography book, "80°05′," on the same date, commemorating Shirase's achievement and highlighting Abe's continuation of the legacy. Approximately 30 works from the series, including the photography book and its dummy book, will be displayed at the exhibition venue.
