Kurumaisu de Go!

The Museum of Osaka University
Finished
Contemporary artist Kazuhiko Hinokawa practices "walking practice." In "walking practice," participants are asked to carry, turn, and sometimes hoist a wheelchair while moving. The wheelchair is a medium that inspires cooperation and communication and makes visible the barriers that exist in society.

The exhibition space is intentionally designed with a variety of "barriers," which visitors will be forced to walk through with their entire bodies to view the work.

At the venue of this exhibition, visitors can experience a simulated "walking practice" using a wheelchair to browse the exhibition room.
