COHJU is pleased to present "Artificial-Natural", a duo exhibition by Kurumi Onishi and Fu Nagasawa, both graduate students at Kyoto University of Arts, from September 28 to October 26, 2024.
Kurumi Onishi makes vibrant still-life paintings, shaving vivid coloured layers and dynamic charcoal strokes with energetic composition.
Fu Nagasawa paints objects inspired by images from old and historical crafts with quiet and calm colours, sensitive texture and natural outline.
Kurumi and Fu both use botanical and organic figures as their motifs. However, you will witness the fascinating contrast between their senses and aesthetics towards what they see.
