The special exhibition will feature landscape paintings by Kyosai and his daughter, Kyosui. We will display Kyosai's depictions of famous places on the Tokaido from the late Edo period, new landmarks from the Meiji era of modernization, and sketches of locations that Kyosai and Kyosui visited. The special exhibit in Gallery 3 will showcase prints reproducing the nishiki-e (woodblock prints) of Ukiyo-e master Hokusai Katsushika, Kyosai's first mentor.
