The Japan-China Friendship Center is a hub for private exchanges between Japan and China, engaging in activities such as cultural and artistic exchanges, youth exchanges, and operating dormitories for exchange students and language schools. As part of its cultural activities, the Japan-China Friendship Center Art Museum, established in 1988, regularly holds unique exhibitions featuring Chinese traditional crafts, calligraphy and painting, and contemporary art.

In 2024, commemorating the 45th anniversary of the signing of the Japan-China Peace and Friendship Treaty, the third installment titled "Life Born from Earth: Sculptor Setsu Suzuki and Chinese Jade Art Exhibition" will be held. This exhibition, organized jointly by Art House Studio 8 and Go-un Cultural Development Co., Ltd., will focus on the sculpture arts of Japan and China, presenting a new collaborative exhibition.
