Luyi Wang
In spring, Luyi Wang had a unique experience of leaving Japan and returning with the arrival of spring once again. During this period, she was inspired by the new environment and created works reflecting her inner exploration, which became the centerpiece of the exhibition. Throughout this time, Wang constantly questioned herself, "How should I live?" This question echoed in her heart, becoming the source of inspiration for her artwork.
Her previous works mainly depicted stems, flowers, uncertain images, simple colors, and compositions, portraying a thin, soft, and ambiguous impression. It seemed as if she were painting a spring scroll, but Wang herself perceived spring as a cruel season, where everything revives, making last year's existence seem nonexistent.
The exhibition will primarily feature works created in 2023, totaling approximately 15 pieces.
