Makoto Kagoshima
"Never put anything in your house that you do not find useful or beautiful." More than 100 years ago, the English artist and thinker William Morris said this. This idea slowly spread from England to the rest of the world and became a catalyst for people to take a closer look at their daily lives. In Fukuoka, Kyushu, Japan, ceramicist and artist Makoto Kagoshima (1967- ) is also striving to improve people's daily lives.

"Better than today." Just as Dutch graphic designer and picture book author Dick Bruna said, Makoto Kagoshima is also taking care of his own day-to-day life and trying to make people's lives happier.

This is the first large-scale exhibition of Makoto Kagoshima, who has garnered attention for her diverse work, which includes ceramics, textiles, and prints. The venue will be lined with a variety of vessels featuring animals and plants lovingly painted in rich colors on the "Morning Meal," "Afternoon Meal," and "Evening Meal" tables. Other products created through collaborations in various fields such as fashion, interior design, and food will be introduced in situations of daily life, such as "Sanpō" and "Oyasumi (Good Night)."
