This is a solo exhibition by the painter Maeko Matsumaru. The layers of paint, consisting of both deliberate and accidental strokes made with a squeegee, reflect a process that seems like the daily breath of Matsumaru projected onto the canvas. This act, both irrational and sensory, feels like a full-body expression. The energy that quietly emerges from her playful interaction with paint, full of freedom and innocence, circulates through the viewer's entire being and stimulates the imagination.
