"Doulia's Boat" was authored by Makoto Oku and published in 2022. In celebration of its reprint, the author is embarking on a tour. Oku (1992-) has explored the realm of art not only in galleries but also in private homes and markets, contemplating the place of art in society and daily life. The book contains 17 essays and artworks, detailing the author's journey to become a "painter" after graduating from art school and reflecting on art and creation in everyday life and society.

The paintings depict individuals and animals alone or in companionship, with mixed colors that intensify when exposed to sunlight. The scenes change with the light by the window, the glow of a lamp, and the evolving expressions in everyday life.
