The photo exhibition “Otototoi" by photographer Masumi Ishida and actress Kaho commemorates the publication of their photo book "Otototoi".
Masumi Ishida is a photographer active in a wide range of fields including magazines and advertisements. In this book, Ishida followed actress Kaho for two years until she turned 30 years old, with the idea of "making a photo book that captures the shimmer and sparkle in her everyday life."
They are neither friends nor business associates, but have an "unnamed relationship." Ishida captured Kaho "just being there," as if capturing a fleeting moment of light, as they shared a favorite worldview, considered locations and costumes, went back and forth in their daily lives, and traveled back and forth over many trips.
The time that has been accumulated, the comfortable atmosphere and distance, and the unspoken feelings in everyday life. Ishida's unique "beautiful and serene photographs" are captured in this exhibition.
In this exhibition, Ishida reinterprets the photographs, including those not included in the book, and attempts a new expression of the "shimmering and shimmering in everyday life."
