Mei Harata "Rainy Day and Tiny Guests"

Gallery Motomachi
Finished

Artists

Mei Harata

Ceramic artist Mei Harata, who has a studio in Yokosuka City, will hold her first solo exhibition titled "Rainy Day and Insects Exhibition" at Gallery Motomachi in Yokohama. In this exhibition, she will showcase ceramic sculptures resembling paintings, using vibrant glass glazes.

These sculptures delicately depict the depth and freshness of rainy streets and forest scenes as if captured in slow motion. Through layered techniques involving three-dimensional and two-dimensional elements, painting, and the transparency and dripping of glazes, she brings out the nuanced beauty of these moments.
