Memories - Film "Blue Period" Exhibition

Nagoya Zokei University Gallery
Finished
It all started with a phone call: "Could we use your campus for a film shoot?" Initially skeptical, the response was to agree to a location scout. Several months later, the project involved over 100 students and faculty members who volunteered for site preparation, primary and secondary exam cast roles, and as extras.

The film "Blue Period" follows the story of a protagonist who discovers the joy of painting and passionately pursues admission to an art university. The filming took place at the old campus of Nagoya Zokei University, which had relocated from Komaki City to Nagoya. This campus was in use until 2022 and has since been demolished, but it was a place filled with various creative works and traces of youthful energy. Students had the opportunity to witness the fervent filmmaking process that took place there.

This exhibition, ahead of the film’s release, will display the actual paintings and props used in the movie. On Saturday, July 27th, an "Art Experience Day" will be held, allowing attendees to engage with art. Visitors are encouraged to expand their world through the film "Blue Period" and discover their passions.
