Mintdesigns is a fashion brand founded by designers Hokuto Katsui and Nao Yagi. In June this year, an exhibition "Mintdesigns Encyclopedia: Mintpedia" was held to commemorate the 20th anniversary of their debut. The exhibition introduced the brand's worldview and thinking from various angles, including the trajectory of all 40 collections released to date, as well as inspiration, design sketches, and an archive of over 150 graphic textiles.
As a special collaboration for this exhibition, printed cushions to match the Kandi House collection [Crust Stool] will be sold exclusively during the exhibition. [Crust Stool] was designed by Raw-Edges, a London-based design unit. Among the many products in the Kandi House collection, this one stands out for its individuality. To match the seat of this stool, “Doll" and “Dot Zig" from Mintdesigns' print archive are printed on ultra-suede fabric.
The “Mintdesigns Meets Furniture" exhibition at the Kandi House Yokohama Gallery presents the fascinating world of Mintdesigns, with an exhibition of printed dresses synonymous with Mintdesigns, as well as patchwork bags In addition to Mintdesigns' signature printed dresses, patchwork bags, silkscreen art, knit glass vases, hangers, and other interior items will be on display and for sale.
