This exhibition is a traveling exhibition of Mintdesigns, a fashion brand founded by designers Hokuto Katsui and Nao Yagi, which was held at Spiral in Minami Aoyama, Tokyo in June this year to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their brand debut.

Since its debut, Mintdesigns has been creating unique icons with bold and fresh colors, textiles with pop and unique motifs, and buttons made of carefully selected vulcanized fibers, and has continued to attract fans with its originality and collections that are full of playfulness and not influenced by trends. Mintdesigns has been attracting fans with its original collections that are full of fun and trendy. Katsui and Yagi, who both studied at Central Saint Martins College of Arts in London, have been pursuing the possibilities of "fashion" that are not synonymous with "trend" since the brand's establishment, aiming to establish clothing as product design. Their approach to design goes beyond the realm of fashion and has led to numerous commissions for masks, Japanese confectionery, packaging, and exhibition design.

This exhibition will be like an encyclopedia, allowing viewers to decipher the work of mintdesigns over the past 20 years. The exhibition includes a video collection of 40 seasons of collections, divided by decade and theme, collection looks, and 130 graphic textiles, as well as a collection of inspirations, design sketches, parts, and other elements that make up Mintdesigns.

A pop-up store will also be open during the exhibition period, selling limited edition prints as works of art to commemorate the 20th anniversary, as well as original goods such as stickers, T-shirts, bags made from archival textiles, and rare one-of-a-kind samples from the archives.
