Mitsunori Kimura has been exploring the theme of "connecting life and death" in the relationship between humans and animals. In recent years, he has focused on invisible particles such as breath, smell, sound vibrations, and air.
The new works approach the theme from the perspective of olfaction. They layer everyday experiences within the forms of fruits and human figures, expressing "memories of smell" and the presence of existence within the larger cycles of the natural world.
