Mistuo Kim
This exhibition will present a new series themed "Family" from the "Sun" series. Kim applies the technique of silkscreen printing to panels coated with a thin layer of wax to fix the images. By applying heat and solidifying the images on the screen printed with photographs, the artist symbolizes the uncertainty and ambiguity of his own perspective and existence.

In the 2021 solo show, "Goodbye My Love," Kim explored Kim's mother's wartime experiences and the artist's own identity as a foreigner raised in Japan. Notably, it marked the artist's transition to color photography, broadening the artist's artistic expression.

In this exhibition, Kim, who has grappled with Kim's heritage and societal instability, reflects on personal experiences as a father. The artist explores the notion that good intentions, personal senses of justice, and well-meaning actions may not always lead to the right answers.
