"Pure Land" is a land away from the impurities of this world. Since ancient times, people have longed for an "ideal world free from anxiety" and sought to avoid "anything out of the ordinary," such as impurities and abnormalities that disturb peace and tranquility. But what exactly is "normal" as a standard? Who draws the line between the normal and the abnormal?
Artist Miyako Tengyu confronts reality through the power of "stories," using history and mythology as clues. On the other hand, painter Yuki Hasegawa examines the relationship between people and others using plants as her subject matter.
