Artists

Miyuki Kaneko
Miyuki Kaneko, whose studio name is Miukonean, moved from Tsukuba to Kamakura, Japan, and uses only a hand wheel to make her work. The process, which does not require an electric wheel, takes a little more time, but she can create ceramics that are unique in shape. The antique-like shape and the subdued colors of white, off-white, and matte black create an atmospheric atmosphere and a solid texture as a vessel for serving food, creating a still-life-like scene.

Kaneko also runs an online antiquarian bookstore called Miss Arendt and has shown "vessels and antiquarian books" at the same time in numerous exhibitions.

This will be Kaneko's first solo exhibition in Tokyo in a very long time.
