Miyuki Morimoto Exhibition

Artists

Miyuki Morimoto
Drawing done in ink all at once is the quintessence of Miyuki Morimoto.

Ten years have passed since the death of Morimoto (1959-2013), but her fashion illustrations, which embody and refine the image of what a girl wants to be with lean and simple lines, are unrivaled. Now that digital illustration has become mainstream, Morimoto's one-shot artwork using ink and brush is attracting a great deal of attention.

This exhibition will also introduce the trajectory of Morimoto's "Morimoto World," from her days as an art student at Setsu Mode Seminar to the legendary girl's magazines "Olive" and "mc Sister," where she honed her skills in competition with the Shibuya-style sound of the 80s and 90s.
