Morio Shinoda
KOKI ARTS is pleased to announce the second solo exhibition at the gallery by Morio Shinoda. This exhibition will feature a total of 10 works, including both new and recent pieces.

Shinoda's sculptures are widely recognized for his TC (Tension and Compression) series, in which parts of the artwork are suspended mid-air using tensioned wires. In this exhibition, alongside works where metal appears to float through tension, pieces created after the Great East Japan Earthquake that emphasize gravity (utilizing stones and weights) will also be showcased. Morio Shinoda, who has been creating sculptures for over 70 years, brings a distinctive sense of scale and a unique view of nature to his art. Even in his 90s, his relentless passion and commitment for artistic exploration remains undiminished.
