Artists

Fumio Nambata
It has been 50 years since the promising and up-and-coming painter Fumio Nambata (1941-1974), who was highly regarded, passed away in the Seto Inland Sea.

He developed a unique painting style where figures and buildings float with vivid colors using pen and watercolors. Despite his short life, at the age of 32, he left behind over 2,000 works and held his first solo exhibition at the Seventh Gallery in 1967.

This exhibition introduces approximately 30 pieces of his oil paintings, watercolors, and drawings.

Additionally, a special exhibition will be held at the Opera City Art Gallery, which along with his father, Tatsuoki Nanbata, holds many of his works, from April 11th to June 16th.
